Sarmite Ostanevica’s SS13 collection draws its inspiration from the cabaret art form. This Parisian spectacle wherein the art of performance is celebrated through colour, movement, sound and texture make it a perfect source of inspiration for a collection of garments which epitomize luxury. The garments’ rich colours and textures bathe their wearer in elegance and grace.

Sarmite once again executes her signature style: incorporating classic tailoring with innovative, asymmetrical designs. In doing so she has created a collection for the modern woman that captures the mood and feeling of dancers in the cabaret. The individual pieces within the collection vary from day wear to evening and cocktail pieces, all of which follow the elegant yet playful cabaret theme.Chiffon's and satins have been used for their feminity, cut outs show seductive sections of skin and emphasis the sensuality of the female form. The garments present shapes usually limited to intimate wear in a more conservative form. Sarmite’s skill as a pattern maker reveals just enough to provoke intrigue without giving too much away.
